C.O.M.P.A.S.S strategies and our big picture mission

In today's fast-paced world, it's more important than ever for small business owners to have a clear, focused direction to survive and thrive. Our strategies are focused on merging the wisdom of the past with the technological revolution of today, and our mission is to bring authenticity and community back to the forefront of business.

We understand that, for many business owners, it can feel like a constant struggle just to keep up with the latest trends and technologies.

Research shows that 20% of people create 80% of jobs; this 20% represents a personality dimension of high openness, extraversion, and compassion. The following 80% build and sustain the systems using their high in conscientiousness, high in orderliness, and high in neuroticism traits to continuously solve the problem over time while the founders are long gone to solve the next community issue they face.

This math shows the circle of life that happens naturally within business, evolution, and communities. The issue with the current changing landscape is.. humans can only move so fast. We'll help you identify the issues that matter most to your community and build stronger relationships with your customers, employees, and partners. Our cutting-edge strategic knowledge of resources to integrate and elevate the local business ecosystem.

Community Impact

First and foremost, our "C" strategy is all about community impact. We understand that small business owners are integral parts of the community. By understanding the landscape and the issues that matter most to those around you, you can create a more positive, engaging environment for everyone. This might include understanding the demographics of the area, the environmental factors, and the issues important to your customers, employees, and partners. By fostering a sense of community within your organization and beyond, you can drive success and create a sustainable business.

Opportunity Cost

Next, we dive into "O" for opportunity cost. This strategy is all about making the most of your resources and understanding that every decision has a cost - often a hidden one. Our team will help you analyze the actual cost of your actions and make strategic choices that lead to more success.

This might include vendor negotiation to get the best prices and terms from suppliers,

  • local sourcing to save on costs,

  • inventory management to streamline your processes,

  • outsourcing to save on labor costs,

  • automation to improve efficiency,

  • and energy efficiency to reduce costs.

We'll work with you to conduct a cost-benefit analysis to determine the potential cost savings of different opportunity cost strategies and help you implement the best ones for your business.

Marketing

Small business owners are the backbone of our communities. They're the ones who create jobs, bring new experiences, and bring authentic value to our towns and cities. Research tells us that the bulk of our business owners is 44 years old. This means they didn't get the iPhone until they were 28 years old and have had zero consistency in this internet-based world for their adult lives. It's impossible to have innovation That's why we focus our "M" to stand for marketing, to help you navigate the fast-paced changes and future-proof your business. We'll help you identify the best marketing tools and platforms and create a marketing plan that works for your business, whether it's through social media, email marketing, or traditional advertising.

Automation

Personally checking emails one by one, posting on each social media platform individually or returning phone calls is 2019!!

Our "A" is to highlight the automation section of our consulting, which helps streamline your business processes, save on labor costs and improve efficiency. The time it takes to learn these tools efficiently is a full-time job on top of implementing them efficiently in your niche. The visionary needs time to explore the vision and we can help integrate the automation processes so everyone has more time to push the mission forward. We will help you analyze and opp/cost your current systems and help identify the best automation tools for your particular business and the people working there. The tools that already exist are changing their interface every day on new ways you can automate parts of marketing, team building, finances, and everything else! WE will be trained for your businesses landscape of the most efficient processes to have the most impact.

Sustainability

Sustainability refers to the ability of a company to operate in a way that meets the needs of its stakeholders (such as customers, employees, and shareholders) while also preserving the environment and natural resources. This can include practices such as reducing carbon emissions, conserving water and energy, and sourcing materials in an environmentally responsible way. This might include implementing sustainable practices in your operations or finding ways to give back to the community through charitable initiatives or volunteer work. By taking a long-term view and considering the impact of your business on the community, you can create a more sustainable and responsible business that will be able to adapt to the changing landscape.

Small Business and Student Program

Finally, our "S" for small business and student opportunities is all about providing a bridge program to employees that work within the companies we help with to start their own businesses using our strategies and find opportunities in the changing landscape due to artificial intelligence. Our consulting firm will help them to identify potential opportunities and provide them with the resources and support they need to succeed. There will be inevitable layoffs when these strategies are implemented and our goal is to mitigate these adverse reactions by providing a bridge program that helps employees find a new purpose and succeed in the changing landscape.

Innovative C.O.M.P.A.S.S Goals:

2022-2024

We are gathering case studies of business owners around the country to showcase the impact of our COMPASS strategies when applied to the pillars of business.

Our first case study is Deez Beanz, where we are currently building an innovative custom coffee bag fundraiser program for our non-profit organizations. This impacts 5 locally owned businesses and is trying to address the financial literacy crisis of our state by donating 50 cents a bag to sponsoring financial literacy education in our high schools. We use tools like Zapier, Asana, Jotform, all social media platforms, and personality assessment tools to alleviate our paper trails, get more sales, and position our team leaders properly on all business fronts.

2026-2030

[5-Year Plan] we will have an entire team of trained experts in each of our strategies to elevate the businesses that are making the most significant impact. (We calculate the impact and use resources from 80,000 hours to help our clients find purpose by compiling resources and strategies based on their personality.)

[10-Year Plan] we plan to have a fully integrated high school program for seniors to learn about and experience various business operation niches through hands-on integration with small businesses in their local community. Students will be placed in one of six niches: Community, Opportunity Cost, Marketing, Personality, Automation strategy, Sustainability, and project management (which is the last S) within the school program.
